What's a vape pen?
Vape pen is a device that heats up a cartridge or vape tank to create vapor. These are rechargeable battery-powered devices, which are small and compact. The device revolutionized vaporizers by providing a larger battery capacity, longer running times and the ability to swap out atomizers and cartridges. Before vape pens, small, self-contained units were similar in size and shape to a tobacco menthol cigarette.
There are many types of vape pen
There are many types of vape juices, and there are many other uses, including with nicotine vape juice.
There are many options for vape pen features and battery capacities. There are two types of vape pens: button-activated and draw-activated. This means that when you inhale, the device senses a change in pressure, and activates. Some vape pens can be set to adjust the power output. This is a popular function that allows for a customized experience. An atomizer's power can increase the intensity of the hit. However, too much power can cause a burnt flavor. Burning is not the right thing for a vape!
How to use a vape pen
It is easy to use a vape pen or a xero time by simply holding the button and drawing on your tank or cart. There are some tips that will make vaping smoother.
- Before using the pen, charge it fully. The vape pen has a small lithium-ion cell. This battery can degrade over time, especially if it is not being used for long periods of time (like when it sits on a shelf awaiting to be bought). A new battery may be viewed as a waste by frequent users who don't need to charge it first.
- To turn on a device that has a button, you will need to press the button five times quickly. Five clicks must be made in quick succession. The same process is used to turn the device off. The device will go into sleep mode if it is drawn activated. There is no physical switch to turn the device on or off.
- Adjustable power devices should be turned down before you start. Start a vape. Take another puff. Slowly increase the power. You'll find your sweet spot when it tastes and feels right for you. The most common way to adjust the power is by turning the dial at the pen's bottom. Common adjustments are made in volts. They range from 3.3 to 4.8 volts. The recommended voltage range for cannabis oil carts is 3.7 to 3.9 volts. If it exceeds that, it will cause a burnt hit. Oil carts should not exceed 3.3 to 3.9 volts.
- The pen will shut off power once the auto shutoff limit is reached if you drag your tank or cart. To find out the limit of your pen, consult its user manual. The limit for one hit is 8 seconds. You can take a longer draw by holding the button down for a split second mid-way through your hit. Then, you can start over immediately.
Charging a vape pen
Warning: Do not use a wall plug for your cell phone to charge your pen. The maximum charge voltage of your pen will likely be higher than the safety limits. This could cause a fire hazard or damage your battery.
The USB cord charges vape pens and can be used to charge other small electronic devices such as a laptop or computer.
There are two types. It all depends on which one you have.
- You can plug the standard micro USB cable into either the side of your pen or the bottom of your device (sometimes covered with a chrome cap).
- A proprietary connection that threads directly onto top of pen (called a "510 connection").
Any standard USB cord will work if you require a replacement vape pen charger. You can search eBay for replacements if you have a proprietary connector that threads onto your 510. You will only need a replacement charger for your vape pen if you are looking for one.
