Self healing and Self love

Moving on and living in reality once more
Looking back on the past and closing the door
Life is moving forward in a direction that I'd never hoped for
Finding peace and tranquillity in dreams that I'd never foresaw

I'm living in the moment and the present you see
Grateful for what's around me for what I have achieved
Grateful for healthy children and a home that I own
Grateful to be warm and financially secure

Indeed these were things that I looked to my past partner to provide
But in finding myself and my confidence inside
I gained the impossible and brought myself somewhere to reside
It was a renovation project greater than I'd known
But the work has paid off and given me a home

You see life ain't so bad
The air that we breath and natures beauty that we see
We are gifted with good health, sight, hearing touch and taste
Did I really get so lost in past grief, oh dear what a disgrace
But now I am here in the present enjoying each moment without haste

To all of you reading this, let it be a lesson learnt
The gift of life is all around us, natures beauty doesn't have to be earned
Life can be easy, if only we learn to take it in our stride
This basic simplicity will give us back our pride
