I’ve thrown my voice past the shallows-

Into the expanse-

Plummated through the core of her-

The earth has challenged once more-

In the arena of mortality-

Life draws the blade for the bull-

Reluctant- or relentless-

The deposit is the same-

The inevitable dance-

With the breath of life-

From which all was formed-

From hence the suns flares storm-

From that which the I of I was born-

Eons in the making compressed in brown eyes

And brown skin-

Under black hair and weighty scars-

I am him.
