A Treasure Trove of Freedom and Peace

Forgiveness begins in the heart

To offer my soul a fresh, new start.

After years and years of not getting ahead,

I decided to look inside me for the answers instead.

What I found was a little scary and hard to face,

But Forgiveness carries the promise of irresistible grace

And dissolves whatever has come before

To provide unbridled freedom that fills my core.

To forgive is to be free of suffering and pain,

And in the process, let go to live again.

Forgiveness sets a prisoner free

Only to realize that prisoner is me.

So, to get it right, I forgive both them and me too

So peace can come in, beyond and through.

When I drop my burden, I see a new light

That was always waiting to carry me to greater heights.

I forgive, not for anyone else, but to heal the hurt in me

And like a switch my light shines so others can see.

Forgiveness is rather easy, simple and clear,

It helps me thrive in the present moment,

Right now, Right here.

Now, I live without resentments to fuel the anxiety race

Because a treasure trove of peace fills my inner space.
