Stainless Steel Tube Fittings:
Stainless steel tube fittings are equipment mainly used to connect various tubes. They connect runs of tubing to other tubing sections, pipe, hose and other components. Also, known as stainless steel ferrule fittings, these tube fittings are compressed onto the tubing to form a strong leak proof connection. They are useful in wide range of industries like oil and gas, petrochemicals and power generation industries. Also, they can be used in residential, commercial water systems and industrial piping systems. When fitted in instrumentation, process, pneumatic, hydraulic, gas and other tubing structures, these tube fittings prevent potentially harmful and expensive leaks. They are reliable and work on both welded and seamless drawn products. There are a variety of stainless steel fittings, Union Tube Fittings, Reducing Union available in the market, but the most commonly used grades are 304 and 316.
Types of stainless steel tube fittings:
Stainless Steel (SS) Double Ferrule Fittings: They are a type of two-piece compression fitting. They force two metal ferrules against the tube as the fitting is tightened.
Stainless Steel Fractional and Metric Tube: They are used for high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic applications. Their sizes range between 1 mm OD /. 254 mm Wall and 26 mm OD /. 1.32 mm Wall
SS Union Cross: They have four ports going in four different directions. So, it is also known as universal fitting as it becomes easy to connect it from any side.
Stainless Steel Bulkhead Male Connector: Used to transition through the wall of a machine member or control box, they permit a smooth transition point from one side to another.

Stainless steel is resistant to heat and chemical damage and so can withstand very high flow rates in excess of 40m/s.
Stainless steel has excellent resistance to the full range of potable waters, including various chloride levels. It is fully recyclable and retains a higher residual scrap value than ordinary steel.
The maintenance of stainless steel is low and it does not require additional coating, in both indoor and outdoor applications. The expected lifetime of a stainless steel system is more than 50 years.
