When it comes to self inflicted diseases, conditions and addictions who should pay? Should it be the responsibility of the medical system and taxpayers or the individuals and their families?

I don't think any rational sentient being would suggest for a minute that anyone with a mental illness that suffers self harm injuries shouldn't be treated and cared for by society.

Is it being suggested that the neurodiverse and mentally ill should be denied care for injuries or self-harm they experience due to their neurochemical/ mental health issues? That seems very wrong to me.

What are these self-inflicted diseases you are referring to? How prevalent are self-inflicted diseases? Are addictions, cancers, broken bones from falls considered self-inflicted? They shouldn't be. Question is ableist in its assumptions.

Controversial, as an addiction is also a disease. Drug companies are the greediest of sorts. But that is another issue.
