IETM is a software solution designed for managing extensive technical documentation, organizing thousands of pages of user and technical manuals efficiently. Previously, OEMs provided manuals as PDFs on DVDs, making it cumbersome for operators to refer to multiple documents when troubleshooting issues. To address this, IETM was introduced, consolidating all manuals into a common database, allowing users to access the required information instantly via an IETM viewer. This evolution led to the adoption of standards, with European countries using S1000D, while the Indian defense established JSG 0852 guidelines nearly two decades ago, which have since evolved into the latest JSG 0852:2019 standard.
