Why should you donate to charity beyond your obvious instinct to do so? Why is charity important in our lives? Although it may be easy for people to believe that charity should be a priority, it is vital to actually do something about it. We all have our ways and reasons for donation collections but there are three main reasons charity is important to improve the world that will be highlighted by me. It can assist people in need, improve health, and make the world a better place.
Reasons to give to charity are:
1. Charity can make the World a Better Place
You might not feel rich. This is normal. Instagram photos of celebrities living in Canary Wharf and driving sports cars may be something you have seen. Contrary to this, you might not have the same amount of wealth. But, you are more likely to be financially close to them than those who are the least fortunate in the world. Global charity is crucial. It is not always easy for those who are worthy of being heard in economic or political institutions.
One example is the non-human animal populace. They both merit moral consideration but are disenfranchised by the traditional decision-making body. Every year, billions are killed in order to feed their families. Many of them are poor and part of factory farming which includes chickens, pigs, and fish.
Another disenfranchised species is our future human population. Your actions now have an impact on the future number of people. This could mean hundreds of thousands or millions of people living for many years. You must stop all catastrophic events from destroying the life on our planet. These risks are called existential dangers. They include man-made epidemics and nuclear war.
2. Charity Can Improve Your Health
Donating to charity can be a great way of making yourself happy. It's a wonderful way to get that warm glow feeling. You get the same feeling when you help your friend or neighbor, as you do when you help your coworker. Charity isn't reserved for the rich. You are the one reading this sentence. You can make an impact on the lives of others, and you can also benefit from it. This is a win/win situation.
3. Charity assists people in crisis
The human suffering that is caused by nonhuman animal mistreatment and global poverty is enormous. How can those in financial security make a difference to improve the lives of those less fortunate? What does it entail to do the right thing and be a good person? These are not questions that only ivory-tower philosophers can answer. Many of us are keen to find the ingredients for living ethical, happy, and fulfilled lives.
