Technology leaders Hitachi and Google have announced a multi-year partnership to accelerate GenAI innovations across the industry. As part of the partnership, the companies will establish the Hitachi Google Cloud Business Unit and the Google Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE). The two GenAI hubs will focus on helping businesses solve specific industry challenges using Gemini AI models, Vertex AI and other Cloud-native AI ML technologies. The Hitachi Google Cloud Business Unit will also focus on adopting Google Cloud’s advanced AI models to enhance Hitachi’s in-house products and services, accelerating growth of its core digital business unit called Lumada.
Overall, Google Cloud’s AI models will advance operational efficiencies for the Hitachi Group in addition to accelerating GenAI innovations for the customers.

Google Cloud’s AI DevOps to Power the Hitachi Group
As part of the partnership, Google Cloud will provide GenAI solutions for software modernization and customer service to transform Hitachi Group’s current business model. It includes the use of Gemini AI models to modernize Hitachi’s existing software systems.
Google Cloud will also provide its Contact Center AI platform to scale customer service experiences using natural language capabilities for agent assistance, self-service automation, and customer query resolutions. The overall objective of this partnership is to provide AI-assisted customer service, helping agents to become more productive and agile.
Contact center agents can use the integrated solutions within GlobalLogic’s Platform of Platforms architecture, bringing additional layer of productivity, security, and effectiveness— a combination of benefits that most intelligent enterprises demand from their cloud providers today.
Expanding GenAI Development with Hitachi Vantara’s Support
GenAI development teams can utilize Hitachi Vantara to manage hybrid and on-premise structured and unstructured data storage requirements. IT organizations can quickly scale their GenAI engineering efforts within their existing IT environment, without compromising their safety, security, and authority over their stored data. Google Cloud and Hitachi will co-develop solutions that are compatible with Virtual Storage Platform One. This integration will enable AI teams to weave all applications in a single data fabric.
GTM and Talent Development
Hitachi Group and Google Cloud will align their respective Marketing, Sales, Product engineering and GTM teams to take their newly developed AI and ML solutions to existing and upcoming markets. It will ensure customers have access to resources required to successfully deploy and manage GenAI projects through Hitachi Google Cloud Business Unit and Google Cloud CoE. It will also train GenAI professionals on Google Cloud technology, enabling customers to quickly transform their digital processes with AI and data management solutions.
As part of the partnership, Hitachi will train 50,000 genAI professionals on Google Cloud.
