What advice can you offer for becoming unaddicted or breaking free of any of the addictions that plague mankind?

Breaking free of addiction requires a combination of therapy, medicine, and a strong support system. Everyone's mind and body deals with addiction differently and treatment must be tailored to each individual.

I also believe that when trying to break free there has to be an awareness that relapse is a part of the process for almost everyone

I speak from inexperience in this category, but to me it seems that the drive to break free from addiction has to be greater than the drive to use. I guess the question is how do you find the drive to break free?

I have been through this with many people. 1st you must loath the addiction to a level of hate.. sounds wrong but it is paramount. 2nd you can not expect to get clean rolling in the dirt.. you may have to leave behind those relationships.

Breaking free of addictions is one of the most difficult things to do but if you truly want to you will do it.

Absolutely agree Moses. DO NOT mess with drugs of any kind. That is the only guarantee against addiction or overdose.

With the full blown opiod crisis. Hundreds are dying every year that are not hardcore addicts, but are recreational, Occasional users. Very dangerous time to use any type of street drugs.

DO NOT become a "recreational" drug user. That has lead to many full blown addictions.
