My degree is in Industrial and Organizational Communication, this is a tough track, hence cell phones were an invention. It takes law. E=MC2. Communication is law, definitely not a lost art. Industrial Revolution did matter but we moved.

Yes i am concerned because no one appears to just talk to people other than using their cell phone or social media. Engaging with people and looking them in the eyes is becoming farther and few between. I call it communicating through glass

yes, it seems to promote a more abrupt and almost confrontational tone and language skills are obviously deteriorating - or people are getting very lazy. It's so much more enriching to converse face to face

Yes I believe we are slowly losing the art of communication with one another. I argue you can’t be fully present with another human-being over text, phone etc. Today many struggle to be present even during face to face due to technology.

For sure. The younger generation has trouble making eye contact in face to face situations, many people can't put their phoned down while they're driving, which shows a total lack of respect for others and their safety.

Not communication but empathy and understanding. We may actually communicate more but at a lower level of significance and effectiveness... "But I sent you a text" is a poor excuse for not getting your message across.

Yes!! This is definitely a concern of mine and especially for the younger generation. However, I often witness adult couples dining out at a restaurant and both people are busy on their phones prior to their meals arriving and to my surprise, they continue to engage in texting and messaging while they are eating! Shouldn't the phones be put away during an evening out with your partner?!
