Ethnocentrism and Cultural Relativism | What is It?

Do you think that everyone in the world behaves the same as the people around you? As Ethnocentric individuals, they tend to use their own cultural norms to make generalizations about other peoples' cultures and customs. While ethnocentric views are not necessarily intended, they have led to major human disasters. Cultural relativism is important in providing objective insight into other cultures. Cultural awareness and acceptance are important steps toward a better and peaceful world.
