Instead of handing out money I choose to volunteer at the United Church Pit Stop dinners where we prepare and serve up to 160 meals on Sundays. I would be concerned if I gave money knowing that it probably would go to drugs and/or alcohol.

I will very often give food or take them to get food if I am walking by and there is a food place they would feel comfortable. I alap do occasionally give straight cash. Depending on what I have and if I see them there everyday...
